CIC Server


Microsoft Windows OS

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 (64-bit)
    Supported in PureConnect 2018 R2 and later

Microsoft Exchange and Outlook

Microsoft Exchange Web Services (EWS)-based integration is an officially supported CIC mail system. Microsoft Exchange Web Services is recommended as an alternative to the Microsoft Exchange MAPI-based integration.

    Note: Known limits exist for using Microsoft Office 365 instead of an on-premises Exchange server. For more information, refer to Recommendations and Limitations for Using Microsoft Office 365 with CIC.

Note: Starting with CIC 2016 R2, Genesys has removed support for Exchange Web Services for Exchange 2007 (all versions), Exchange 2010, and Exchange 2010 SP1. The minimum supported version is Exchange 2010 SP2. Previous CIC versions will continue to work with the Exchange versions they were originally tested with. Note: Nuance and Genesys do not support running current Nuance software on Microsoft Windows Server 2016. Since an ASR server can be on a different OS than the rest of the system, customers can upgrade CIC to Microsoft Windows Server 2016, while continuing to run ASR servers on a supported OS. Customers who are considering upgrading to Windows Server 2016 should take this under advisement if they use Nuance.
