Options Configured by Setup Assistant

Some default auto-attendant menu options can be configured when the CIC server is installed, using a program called Setup Assistant. To use Attendant, you do not need to understand how Setup Assistant works, or how the CIC server was configured. However, two dialogs in Setup Assistant potentially modify the default inbound call flow.

Default Hours of Operation

Setup Assistant displays this dialog to collect information about your company's normal hours of operation. The information provided is used to add a Custom Inbound Call Schedule node to the inbound call flow.

Group Call Processing

Setup Assistant uses another screen to configure a list of menu items associated with workgroups defined earlier within the wizard. For each menu item, a digit, workgroup, and optional overflow queue is specified. The figure below shows the wizard page and related dialogs that configure workgroup transfers in Setup Assistant.

Setup Assistant uses this information to define menu options that route calls to specific workgroup queues. The resulting workgroup transfers are added to the default inbound menu.
