Appendix B: Display Name Generation

Use the Display Name Format tab in Interaction Administrator to configure the way names are displayed in the system. This property sheet appears when you select the System Configuration container, and then double-click the Configuration entry.

The radio buttons on this property sheet select the format used to display first, middle, and last names. You can type sample names in the test fields at the bottom of the page to see view the result of your selections.

"FirstName MiddleNameOrInitial Last Name" radio button

This option displays John J. Doe.

"LastName, FirstName, MiddleNameOrInitial" radio button

This option displays Doe, John J.

"LastNameFirstName" radio button

This option displays DoeJohn.

Set Asian Names to "LastNameFirstName" checkbox

Use this option to set LastNameFirstName as the default format if an Oriental name is detected.

Show Company Name checkbox

Select this option to include the Company Name in the display, if a company name is found during the lookup.
