SMS Reverse Proxy Setup

For switchover, load balancing, and so on, it may be necessary to use a reverse proxy for SMS. Proper setup and configuration of the reverse proxy is required to get this to work with our product.

Prerequisites

First install the proper roles and extensions:

• Install the IIS role on a valid Windows Server machine.

• Install the Application Request Routing (ARR) extension.

• Install the URL Rewrite extension.
