Master Keys

A Master Key securely protects recording keys. Generating a new custom Master Key on a regular schedule helps to keep your information secure if a Master Key is lost or compromised.

Important note

If a Master Key file is lost, you will not be able to retrieve your recordings associated with that key. Master Keys are stored in the Master Key file and the Master Key file is encrypted using the Master Key Password.
