View Account Balance Information

Use the Account Balance Information dialog box to view account balance details. If an account belongs to a group of linked accounts, a breakdown for each account is available.

To view account balance information

  1. With an account displayed in the Work Form, click in any of the balance boxes (for example, Net Orig, Accrd, Paid, Current) in the Balance Info section. The Account Balance Information dialog box appears.

Show linked balances: If selected, combined balances for all linked accounts display. If not selected, only balances for the selected account display. This option appears for linked accounts only.

Money buckets: (First column) Categories used to group dollar amounts associated to the account (for example, principal, interest, collection costs). If a money bucket isn't visible, no amounts exist for that column.

Original: Balance of each money bucket on the day your organization received the account.

Adjusted: Amount the system adjusted each money bucket since your organization received the account.

Net Original: Original balance of each money bucket, plus or minus adjustments.

Accrued: Accrued interest (calculated interest, transaction fees).

Paid: Payment amounts for each money bucket since your organization received the account.

Current: Current balance of each money bucket.

Total: Total amounts for each of the columns.

  1. If you don't want to show combined balances on linked accounts, clear the Show Linked Balances check box.

  2. When finished viewing the information, click Exit.
