Minimum Settlement Options Permission

Use the Minimum Settlement Options permission to specify the conditions for considering a payment a valid settlement. 

Location

In the Latitude Permissions and Policies Editor window, expand the Arrangements folder and then click Minimum Settlement Options.

Scope

This permission is available for all scopes.

Policy

This policy allows your organization to specify which amounts to use to calculate the minimum settlement percentage. Enable the permission for a scope and then specify the settings.

  • Settlement Target: Amount to use to calculate the minimum settlement percent.

  • Mode: Method for increasing the minimum settlement percentage.

  • Percentage: Percent to use to calculate the blanket minimum settlement percent based on the mode selected.

  • Allow the overridden settlement percentage to be less than the blanket minimum settlement percentage: If selected, the overridden settlement percentage can be less than the blanket minimum settlement percentage.

  • Current Balance Percentage: Minimum amount of the current balance required to consider a payment arrangement settled, even if the account paid more than the minimum settlement percent of the original balance. This setting only applies to accounts where the minimum settlement percentage is not based on the current balance.

  • Maximum Number of Days: Maximum number of days that a declined payment remains on a payment arrangement. If you specify 0 (zero), the number of days are unlimited.
