Script Types

There are two types of campaign scripts: custom scripts and base scripts (also known as standard forms).  Interaction Scripter .NET Client runs either type of script interchangeably. You are likely to encounter either type, depending upon the level of scripting that your company has licensed, and the type of script that the current campaign is using.

Terminology Note—when the client displays a base script, it is called the Dialer Client.  When it displays a custom script, it is called the Scripter Client.  These terms are not really significant outside of Marketing departments, because the same client application is always used.  To avoid confusion, the term Interaction Scripter .NET Client is used in documentation.

When a base script pops on your screen, it is ready to be completed by you.  If the contact is already on the line when the script pops, you can easily see what information needs to be collected. The script may indicate what to say. If information is presented before a call is placed, you can preview the contact record before placing a call to the contact, or you can skip to the next contact.
