Sort the Tree

This command reorders items in the tree structure according to precedence.  Schedules and menu options are sorted based on the time in which they are active.  This provides a better indication of the logical flow of control that occurs.  Since the sort order is time-based, rather than alphabetic, this provides a better indication of the logical flow of control that will occur.

The figure below shows a sorted list of schedules.  The default schedule is evaluated first, followed by the daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and unplanned schedules.  If two or more forms of the same type are attached to a node (for example, two unplanned schedules), those items are listed in alphabetical order within precedence.

Usage

This command may be invoked using either of the following methods:

• Press the Sort Tree () button on the main toolbar.

• Pull down the Edit menu and select Sort Tree.
