Rights Inheritance

Users can inherit rights from the default user, a workgroup, or a role.

All users inherit some initial rights from the default user. If workgroups are established, users who are members of a workgroup also inherit rights from that workgroup. If a role is created, users who are assigned to the role inherit the rights associated with that role.

If a user is a member of more than one workgroup or assigned more than one role, and if those workgroups and roles include conflicting rights, the user will inherit the union of the rights set in all the workgroups and roles.
