Convert a Prompt File for Interaction Attendant

GoldWave is a free digital audio editor that you can use to convert ".wav" files to the correct format recommended for Interaction Attendant.

Note: If a prompt file's attributes are "Wave µ-law, 8000 Hz, 64 Kbps, mono", the file is in the correct format for Interaction Attendant and conversion is not necessary.

To convert a prompt file for Interaction Attendant

  1. Start GoldWave.

  1. In the toolbar, click the Open icon and then click the prompt file to convert. The file's attributes appear at the bottom of the window.

  1. If the file is not in the correct format for Interaction Attendant, do the following:

    1. In the menu bar, click File and then click Save As.... The Save Sound As dialog box appears.

    2. In the Save as type list box, click Wave (*.wav) and then click Attributes.... The Select Audio Attributes dialog box appears.

    1. Click µ-law, 8000 Hz, 64 Kbps, mono and then click OK.

    2. In the Save Sound As dialog box, click Save.
