IPA Process Automation Server Version 2

CIC 2015 R3 introduced Version 2 of the Process Automation Server. CIC 2015 R3 to CIC 2016 R4 supported both Versions 1 and 2. In CIC 2017 R1, IPA Process Automation Server version 2 replaced version 1. CIC 2017 R1 no longer includes Process Automation Server version 1 in the installation, and Process Automation Server version 2 installs by default. If you upgrade to CIC 2017 or later, it is not possible to roll back Process Automation Server from version 2 to version 1.

Important!
Customers who use Process Automation Server version 1 should upgrade to Process Automation Server version 2 using the migration tools before upgrading to CIC 2017 R1 or later versions.

Note that software updates for CIC 2017 R1 and later apply only to Process Automation Server version 2. There are no restrictions on the sale of Interaction Process Automation licenses.
