Upgrade to Process Automation Server Version 2

You can install PASv2 either on your CIC server or on a non-CIC server. PASv2 is included in the CIC installation. An installation program is available for installing PASv2 on a non-CIC server. For more information, see Install PASv2 on a non-CIC server.

After installing PASv2, configure and activate PASv2. Process Automation Server version 1 remains the active server until you manually activate Process Automation Server version 2. For more information, see Complete upgrade process and activate PASv2.

To upgrade to PASv2 on your CIC server, see Complete upgrade process and activate PASv2.

Note: Process Automation Server version 2 can store data about workflows only in a Microsoft SQL Server database. However, it can use any ODBC-compliant database for other data.
