Genesys Cloud SMS Broker Integration

In this release, we have made the following changes to Genesys Cloud SMS Broker Integration.

• Introduced the Genesys Cloud broker as one of the SMS brokers. By default, the Genesys Cloud broker is selected in the brokers list.
• The CIC server will send SMS messages through the Genesys Cloud SMS broker.
• The Genesys Cloud Broker is a selectable option within the configuration of SMS endpoints.
•  In case of switchover event, the backup CIC server will connect to the Genesys SMS Broker to continue to support SMS messages on the server.
•  The integration to the SMS Broker capable of handling the message per second upper limits for each number type supported (DID, TFN, Short Code).
• The Genesys Cloud SMS integration able to send messages over multiple number types concurrently through the Genesys SMS broker.

SMS Provisioning

You can now use Genesys Cloud SMS Configuration to manage SMS number provisioning (longcode and toll free number) and OAuth client Provisioning with Genesys Cloud.

• Provided ability to provision a new SMS number. See SMS Provision.
• Provided ability to update the already provisioned SMS number available. See SMS Update Provision.
• Provided ability to manage the OAuth client with Genesys Cloud. See SMS Manage Client Configuration.
