This section describes enhancements to split switchover and switchover resiliency.

Split Switchover Optimizations

The switchover process was improved to handle instances where the CIC primary and backup servers are located on different LANs. There are new server parameters to tailor the switchover subsystems to compensate for network connectivity and latency issues. These changes help avoid unnecessary switchovers caused by connectivity issues between CIC servers.

Switchover Resiliency

The switchover resiliency process was improved to handle up to 15,000 emails and 4,000 simultaneous chats during a switchover.
