Driver-Defined Attributes
Drivers may add additional, driver-specific attributes to the XML result rows. It is up to handlers or custom applications to take advantage of any such additional attributes. To simplify the task of querying attributes in a handler or custom application, custom RWP drivers should supply I3-defined attributes in addition to driver-specific attributes, even though this may create some data redundancy.
Note: if a custom driver returns a DisplayName attribute, it will be used as the display name. Otherwise, the display name will be generated based on the values of other attributes, which is preferred. See Appendix B for more information on CIC's display name generation facilities.
