Create a Menu

Follow these general steps to create a menu interaction:

Connect to a CIC server.

Select the server in the tree.

Add a new profile by pressing the New Profile button on the main toolbar.  A profile determines which menu will process an incoming call, based call selection criteria of some type.  For instance, an inbound profile examines the calls DNIS, ANI values, or the line or line group that the call came in on.

Set options on the profile form.

Attach a new schedule by pressing the New Schedule button on the main toolbar.

Set options on the schedule form.

Press buttons on the operations toolbar to add as many new menu operations as you like.  Operations are actions that Interaction Attendant performs within a menu, usually in response to a user key press.  Each menu item that you add is added to the tree structure.  Each menu item has its own node.  To configure a menu node, select it in the tree and fill out its property sheet.

Creating a submenu is also easy.  A submenu is a menu form that is attached to another menu or schedule as a child node.  To create a submenu, select an existing menu in the tree before adding a new menu item.  Menus are added by pressing the New Menu button in the toolbar, or by selecting New Operation | Play a Menu from the Insert menu.

Save your changes, by pressing the Publish button in the toolbar, or by selecting Publish from the File menu.
