Disconnect from a Server

Disconnect releases the Notifier connection between Interaction Attendant and a Customer Interaction Center server.  The Notifier is a Customer Interaction Center module that acts as a communication center for all other modules.  It listens for events generated by other modules and "notifies" other modules that an event has occurred.  The disconnect command tells Interaction Attendant to "log out" of its session with a server.  Disconnect does not close Attendant.

This option is disabled in the Edit menu unless a Server node is selected in the tree.

Disconnect removes a server form and all of its child nodes from the tree view.  The option to disconnect is enabled when a server form is selected in the tree.

  1. Click the server node in the tree view that you want to disconnect.

  2. Issue a disconnect command using any of the following methods:

  • Pull down the File menu and select Disconnect

  • Pull down the Edit menu and select Disconnect Server

  • Press the Disconnect Server button ()on the main toolbar

  • To disconnect from multiple servers at once, pull down the Edit menu and select Manage Servers.  When the Manage Servers dialog appears, select servers to disconnect by alt-clicking entries in the list.  Then press the Disconnect button.

  1. The Save Changes dialog will appear for each server whose configuration has changed.   Use pushbuttons on this dialog to publish, discard, or export configuration data.  You can also cancel the disconnect operation.
