PureCloud for CIC Integration (Phase 1)

The PureCloud for CIC integration enriches the CIC user experience by leveraging the power and data of CIC and the collaborative features of PureCloud. PureCloud for CIC brings users together into a single environment that allows for seamless communication between CIC and PureCloud-only users.

The initial phase of the integration includes:

  • Configuration in Interaction Administrator

  • User information and status synchronization

  • Interaction Connect user access to PureCloud Collaborate

Configuration in Interaction Administrator

The PureCloud for CIC configuration only requires a few steps in Interaction Administrator. The CIC administrator can create a new PureCloud organization, if one does not already exist, or use an existing PureCloud organization.

PureCloud for CIC configuration

  • A new PureCloud Admin user is automatically created with the specified email address and password. The PureCloud Admin user has permissions in both CIC and PureCloud.

  • PureCloud Bridge is installed to manage the data transfer between CIC and PureCloud. A local install on the IC server is recommended. However, an off-server PureCloud Bridge install is available.

  • Once PureCloud for CIC is configured, the administrator can start PureCloud Collaborate directly from Interaction Administrator.

User information and status synchronization

CIC user information and statuses are automatically and continuously synced into a paired PureCloud organization.

PureCloud for CIC syncs the following default CIC user information in the PureCloud organization:

  • Display name (required)

  • Email address (required)

  • Extension

  • Business number

  • Work phone

  • Cell phone

  • Department name

  • Title

  • Status (user-configured)

Interaction Connect user access to PureCloud Collaborate

Once PureCloud for CIC is configured, CIC users can access PureCloud Collaborate directly from Interaction Connect.
