Import Certificate (Signed by Third Party)
Use this dialog to import a certificate signed by a third-party certificate authority. You receive the signed certificate from the certificate authority after you create a certificate signing request and send the certificate signing request file to the certificate authority. Creating a certificate signing request also creates a private key.
Certificate Path
Browse to the directory location for the signed certificate from the certificate authority.
Certificate Type
Select one of the following certificate file format storage types:
- X.509: Standard specification for public key certificates, in either DER or PEM format.
- PKCS 7: Contains one or more certificates in either DER or PEM format.
- PKCS 12: Defines a file format to store keys and certificates in either DER or PEM format.
Certificate Format
Select one of the following certificate file encoding formats:
- DER – Binary encoding
- PEM – Base64 encoding
Private Key Path
Browse to the directory location of the private key to use with the signed certificate from the certificate authority.
Private Key Format
Select one of the following key file encoding formats:
- DER – Binary encoding
- PEM – Base64 encoding
My private key is password protected
Select this check box if the private key file requires a password.
Password
Enter the private key password.
