Welcome to the IC Setup Assistant

Welcome to the IC Setup Assistant!

The IC Setup Assistant is a wizard that asks a series of questions to configure your CIC Server in a new or upgrade installation.

Setup Assistant supports upgrades from IC 2.3.1 and 2.4 to 3. For an upgrade installation, the questions fall within the following categories:

  • CIC administrator and network information

  • CIC license

  • Database (Reporting, Interaction Recorder, Interaction Tracker, and Interaction Optimizer)

  • Server Group Certificate and Private Key

  • SIP Lines and Default Registration Group

  • Dialogic HMP configuration

  • Device detection

Once you have answered all the questions, you have the option to review your choices and click the Commit button. IC Setup Assistant then configures your CIC Server according to the settings you chose.

We recommend running Setup Assistant after business hours because some configuration processes require significant server resources.

Completing the Setup Assistant configuration

IC Setup Assistant must be completed before you can run Interaction Center.

If you have to exit IC Setup Assistant before completing all the dialogs and/or committing your choices, everything you have entered so far is saved automatically to your IC Survey file.

To make changes after running IC Setup Assistant

After committing your choices, you can re-run IC Setup Assistant to make certain configuration changes that cannot be performed in Interaction Administrator or anywhere else in CIC.

Other configuration changes must be made in Interaction Administrator, accessible from the Start menu.
