Controlling the Order of Work Item Pages

You must set the order in which a work item displays its pages to the user.

To set the page order:

1. In the Graphical Page Designer or the Overview view, click the Destination link (see figure).
   
   
   
   IPA Designer displays the Change Destination dialog box (see figure). Note that each destination link also has a green plus sign icon  to add destinations. A page can only go to one destination. If a matching condition shows which destination is correct, the page goes to that destination. Otherwise, it goes to the last destination in the list.
   
   

2. In the Change Destination dialog box, either:

• Expand the Page list box and select a different page of the work item to display.

• Click the Add Page () green plus sign icon to create a new page to display.

• Select the End Work Item radio button, expand the Reason list box, and select the reason for ending the work item.

Note: You can also type a new reason directly into the Reason box. However, you will need to add new logic for the new exit path.

3. Click OK.
   
   IPA Designer changes the destination of your work item page, thereby changing the order in which the work item displays the pages when routed to a user or workgroup.

Tip: You can add Next and Previous buttons and link them to pages so users can navigate forward and backward.
