Initial State

When you create a process, IPA Designer automatically gives it an initial state. When users run the process, the process begins in this state.

The name "initial state" is optional. You can also add other states. In the Process Details view (see figure), you can select the starting state for your process.

You can add actions to the initial state, just as you can add actions to any other state.  When IPA Designer first creates it, however, the initial state has only its default Start action (see figure).
