Requirements

CIC 4.0 includes several architectural changes which improve both scalability and reliability.

Software and Third Party Requirements

CIC 4.0 has updated requirements for the underlying operating systems. There are also different requirements for third party software such as databases, mail platforms, and so on. The following sections describe these requirements in more detail.

Server Software Requirements

CIC 4.0 is only supported on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-Bit). All server applications, including Media Server, off server Session Manager (OSSM), and Interaction SIP Proxy, also only support Windows Server 2008 R2.

Workstation Software Requirements

CIC 4.0 supports the following operating systems on workstations:

Email & Database Platforms

CIC 4.0 supports both Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Microsoft Exchange 2010. It also supports GroupWise 8.0, Lotus Domino 8.5, and Gmail.

Supported databases include Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Oracle 11G R2.
