Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2016

PureConnect 2018 R2 and later supports Microsoft Windows Server 2016 (64-bit)with the following exceptions:

  • Nuance and Genesys do not support running current Nuance software on Microsoft Windows Server 2016. Since an ASR server can be on a different OS than the rest of the system, you can upgrade CIC to Microsoft Windows Server 2016, while continuing to run ASR servers on a supported OS. If you are considering upgrading to Windows Server 2016 and you use Nuance, take this under advisement.   • For IC Business Manager, the Desktop Experience feature on Windows Server 2016 is optionally installed during Windows Installation using the Setup wizard. You must choose Windows Server (Server with Desktop Experience) when you install Windows Server 2016. You cannot install Server with Desktop Experience after installation.   • For Interaction Web Portal, the Desktop Experience feature on Windows Server 2016 is optionally installed during Windows Installation using the Setup wizard. You must choose Windows Server (Server with Desktop Experience) when you install Windows Server 2016. You cannot install Server with Desktop Experience after installation.
