Configure the LDAP Provider

The LDAP directory contains the lookup information for contacts (first name, last name, etc.). Enter the information that CIC needs to connect to the LDAP server.

Note: LDAP protocol configuration is not used in MIC. Skip this dialog.

Timeout (sec)

Specify how long the LDAP server should allow a search to proceed through the directory before it times out when no match is found. The default timeout is 8 seconds.

Search Limit

Specify the maximum number of matching entries the LDAP server should return when the directory is searched. The default is 1000 entries.

Add one or more LDAP directory entries to search

Click Add to add one or more LDAP directory entries in the LDAP Directory dialog. Your input will be reflected in the worksheet.

Once you have added LDAP directory entries, you can highlight an entry to Edit or Delete it.

Additional configuration in Interaction Administrator

The LDAP Configuration dialog in the Interaction Administrator Mail container contains the following additional setting not available in Setup Assistant.

  • Use Secure Connections (TLS). If you are using SSL/TLS for the LDAP provider to provide security between the CIC Server and the LDAP server, we recommend that you install and configure the CIC Server first without configuring for SSL/TLS. Once you have determined that the CIC System is functioning properly, configure CIC for SSL/TLS.

For more information, see Interaction Administrator help.

IC Survey Location: This information may be included in the IC Survey file. If so, the selection/value will appear in this dialog. You can review the contents of the IC Survey file by selecting View Survey in the Load IC Survey File dialog or opening it in a Pre-Install survey in the IC Survey system.
