Import Users from a CSV User List

This dialog appears if you selected to import users from a .CSV file in the Create the IC User Accounts dialog.

Select the CSV user list containing users and user values, typically prepared prior to installing CIC. For example, if a reseller filled out a Pre-Install survey, a CSV user list may have been created at that time.

If you have not already done so, download the CSV user list to a secure location on the CIC Server. The file must have .CSV extension.

Caution: Most organizations will want to restrict access to the CSV user list document since it may contain password information.

Errors

IC Setup Assistant warns you if it encounters errors while parsing the CSV file. Click Errors to view the status of the errors and a description.

Warning: IC Setup Assistant cannot verify one or more values. You can continue with the import, but those values will not be imported. There may be other warnings, like duplicate extensions; those values will be imported.

Severe: IC Setup Assistant detects no columns or the file could not be opened. You cannot continue with the import.

Whether the status is Warning or Severe, we recommend reviewing the CSV List Import document, which contains a description of the CSV user list values. The document is available  in the Technical Reference Documents section of the PureConnect Documentation Library.

I want to continue on with these warning only errors.

Click the checkbox to continue with the import, with Warning errors included. Note that some values may be not be imported.
