In each job configuration, you can specify one or more email addresses to receive notification when jobs complete successfully or produce an error. Best practices for email notifications are as follows:

Email notifications for jobs that complete successfully are helpful for new jobs. You can discontinue the notifications once jobs run error-free routinely.

Email notifications for failed jobs describe the failure in detail, which is useful for correcting the errors and running the job successfully. Specify at least one email address to receive notification for failed jobs.
