Default Operator Profile

Calls to the operator are filtered by operator profiles.  Information about the call is compared to call characteristics defined in operator profile nodes.  The call is processed by the custom profile that matches the call, or by a default operator profile that Attendant uses to process calls that don't match user-defined profiles.  Interaction Attendant creates a default profile automatically for each call flow.  A default profile cannot be deleted.  The default profile is used when:

  • It is the only profile, or...

  • The characteristics of the incoming call do not match the criteria defined by any of your custom profiles.

  • You can customize a default operator profile to play a different wave file, but its incoming call selection filtering criterion are disabled.  This insures that the default operator profile always matches calls that get past custom operator profiles.  The following options are always disabled on a Default Operator Profile:

Name

The name field is disabled so that the profile is always named Default Profile for easy identification.

Active check box

This check box is disabled, since default profiles are always available at runtime.

Incoming Call Selection options (user, workgroup, Attendant Profiles)

Incoming call section options that screen calls based upon originating user queue, workgroup queue, or Attendant Profile are disabled. You can create custom operator profiles that filter calls by examine these criteria, however.

For information about other options on this form, see Custom Operator Profile.
