Editing a Variable

You edit a variable in the same way whether it is a process variable or a local variable.

To edit a variable:

  1. In the Variables list, double-click the variable to edit.

IPA Designer displays the Edit Variable dialog box (see figure). The dialog box has slightly different features depending on the data type of the variable you are editing.

  2. Change the desired properties by changing the values in the dialog box controls.

Except for the check box labeled Contains a collection of variables, which is grayed, the controls are the same and work the same as in the Add Variable dialog box.

  3. When you are finished editing the variable, click OK.

IPA Designer saves the changes you made in the variable definition.
