Searching Within a Process

You can search within a process for:

• Places where a variable is used

• Places where a text string occurs

To search for places where a variable is used, see the help topic Seeing Where a Variable is Used.

To search for a text string:

1. Click the Search tab to display the search tab.

2. Click Options to display search options (figure, 1).
   
   

3. In the Search text box (figure, 3), type the text for which to search.

4. If desired, select Starts with and/or Match case to narrow the search (figure, 2).

5. Click the magnifying glass icon (figure, 3).
   
   IPA Designer displays the results from your search (figure, 4).
