Configure a Bot

The Bots view enables you to create, configure bots to your company's website.

Requirements: See Bots.

Note: In Interaction Administrator, add Server parameter ‘PureConnectChatServiceUrl’ and set the value to ‘hive.genesys.com’, this parameter will decide IC server to connect to Chat Service deployed on Hive. For more information, see Configuring Web Services Parameters and its related topics.

To create a bot:

  1. Display the Bots view, by doing one of the following:

  2. In the Bots view, click New.

  3. In the Create a Bot panel, type a Name for the bot.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • To configure this bot, click Create. In the Bot configuration panel, complete and save the Bot configuration options. For more information, see Bot General Configuration.

    • To save the bot, but delay configuration, click the arrow on the Create button and select Create Without Configuring.

To edit a widget's configuration:

  1. In the Bots view, click a Bot configuration name.

Result: The Bot configuration panel appears.

  1. Update selected configuration options in the Bot configuration panel and then click Save.

Note: You should logout and login back to Interaction Connect to see newly added Bot configurations in the Channel configurations form.
