The Calculation Editor Dialog Box - Overview

The Calculation Editor dialog box lets you build calculations by selecting variables and operators. The features of the Calculation Editor dialog box depend on the data type of the variable in a calculation. For example, you use the Boolean Calculation Editor dialog to enter a calculation that returns a True or False value.

To create more complex calculations (or if you simply prefer to enter calculations by typing them), use the Custom Calculation Editor by clicking the Enter a custom calculation link at the bottom left corner of the Calculation Editor dialog box.
