Pull-Down Menu Commands

Pull-down menus in Interaction Attendant allow you select commands quickly.  These menus organize all of the commands that Interaction Attendant recognizes.

File Menu

File commands that connect or disconnect from CIC servers, export Attendant (*.att) configuration files, or close the application.

 Connect

Opens a login dialog.  Once the login is validated, Attendant adds a server node to the tree.  The Connect command allows you to administer multiple servers and see them all in the tree view.

 Disconnect

Disconnect releases the connection between Interaction Attendant and an CIC server.  See disconnect from a server.

 Publish

This command saves changes made to menu configurations, and puts them into effect.  See publish a configuration.

 Import File

Import loads an Attendant configuration file into the interface for editing.  See manage configuration files.

 Export File

Export saves an Attendant configuration file to disk.  See manage configuration files.

Packageā€¦

This option is similar to export, but instead of exporting all nodes in the tree, it exports the selected node along with any children it might have. Unlike configurations, which save all nodes of the call flow to a file, package files contain a selected portion of the call flow. See manage configuration files.

Exit

This command closes Interaction Attendant.  You may be asked to save changes.  See Exit Attendant for more information.

Edit Menu

Edit commands manage servers, cut, copy, paste, sort, rename, or delete items in the tree structure.

 Manage Servers

This command opens the Manage Servers dialog so that you can apply publish, export, refresh, and disconnect commands to multiple connected servers at once.  You can also connect to additional servers from this dialog.

 Cut

The Cut command removes the selected node, and places a copy on the system clipboard.  You can cut and paste tree nodes.  Cut deletes a selection and places a copy on the clipboard.

You can drag and drop or cut/copy/paste nodes from one area to another. However, Interaction Attendant won't let you drag nodes from one server to another, or to paste nodes from one server to another. All node movement is restricted to the current server.   Interaction Attendant also checks to see if the dropped/pasted node is assigned to a digit that is already in use by an existing node in the menu.  If the new node is assigned the same digit as an already existing node, The dropped/pasted node's digit is reassigned to <none>.

 Copy

Copies a selection to the clipboard.

 Paste

Pastes an item from the clipboard to the control that has focus.

Multi-Language Prompts

Opens the Prompt Management dialog, which allows any prompt to be selected to find out what languages the prompt has been recorded in.  Prompts can be recorded in additional languages directly from this dialog.  This dialog does not set the language used to play back a prompt.  See manage voice prompts.

 Sort Tree

This command reorders items in the tree structure according to precedence.  Schedules and menu options are sorted based on the time in which they are active.  See sort the tree for procedural details.

Rename

This command renames the selected node in the tree structure.

Delete

This command deletes the selected node from the tree structure.

 Refresh Server Data

This command polls each connected server to retrieve information about workgroups, schedules, users, stations, skills, DB sources, lines, line groups, schedules, languages, and the default language.

 Disconnect Server

This command releases the Notifier connection to the server whose node is selected.  In effect, this "logs off" Interaction Attendant from a server.  This option is disabled until a server node is selected in the tree.

 Load Active Configuration

This command abandons changes that you have made and reloads the configuration that is currently active and taking calls on the selected server.

View Menu

View commands toggle the display of status and tool bars.

 Toolbar

Toggles display of the main toolbar on or off.  The main toolbar provides pushbutton icons that are equivalent to the File, Edit and Insert menus.  The operations toolbar is always available cannot be toggled on or off.

 Status Bar

This command toggles the status bar on or off.  The status bar displays helpful information at the bottom of the screen when you "mouse over" a toolbar element or select a menu item.

Insert Menu

Insert commands add server, profile, schedule, or operation nodes to the tree.

 New Server

This command opens the Interaction Attendant Login dialog so that you can connect to an existing server

 New Profile

A profile is a collection of one or more menus.  Interaction Attendant automatically creates default profiles for you.  You can add your own custom profiles to filter calls using specific criteria.  See profiles.

 New Schedule

A schedule stipulates when a menu can run.  The New Schedule command adds a new Schedule node, so that you can specify when the menu will be initiated.  See schedules.

New Operation

Operations are actions that Interaction Attendant can perform in response to a menu selection.  This cascading menu allows you to insert a new operation.  See operations.

Help Menu

Help commands open online help topics, web links, display version information and particulars of your computing environment.  See accessing context-sensitive help.
